SportsPubs relies on feedback and landlords to maintain these reviews - therefore you are
always advised to check-ahead to confirm that this pub is actually showing the sport that you require.

The Northcote completed a major sports-focused redevelopment in 2001. The beer sodden carpet has been replaced with bare boards and the walls splashed orange in this open, one room, square pub. There are now 2 excellent Giant screens at opposite ends of the pub that no longer suffer from sun interference. There is also a well positioned TV, albeit with a slightly wobbly picture, so that you can see a screen from anywhere in the pub. The number of screens that they use will depend upon how many people want to watch a game (ranging from just the TV to 1 big screen without sound to the works for England matches, for example). They are a lot more into sports coverage than most pubs in the area (check out the ad on the outside of the blackout curtains) and advertise upcoming coverage of football, rugby, cricket and F1.
