SportsPubs relies on feedback and landlords to maintain these reviews - therefore you are
always advised to check-ahead to confirm that this pub is actually showing the sport that you require.

Don't let the low key facade fool you. The exterior of the pub is not plastered with tacky canvas SKY banners, but stick your head in the door and you'll see that Michael, the sports mad landlord, means business. It's a fairly new pub with a nice balance between comfort (big sofas), and designer looks. Thankfully, Where there is no balance whatsoever is in the visuals department. With a giant Screen at the back wall of the Lower level, 2 televisions strategically placed at the front end, and a third TV on the mini-upper level at the back (for the Pool players), I thought the coverage was good for a recent Tottenham game. Michael must have a phobia about blind spots, because I returned for the Arsenal v Newcastle FA cup replay to find the addition of four, state-of-the art, plasma screens hanging above the bar. There's even a closed circuit TV behind the bar, offering un-interrupted coverage of any kick-abouts that may take place in the street! As with a lot of pubs in North London, there is a split between Arsenal and Tottenham, but I have found the atmosphere more relaxed here, due, I think, to the affable Guv'nor. There is seating for about 80, but some is removed for the bigger games offering more standing room. Don't worry about major sporting events clashing, as the screens all work independently. It's not unusual to shuffle around the bar, keeping tabs on a premier league six-pointer, while watching Herr Schumacher win another Grand Prix in 2nd gear, as Grown men mud-wrestle under the guise of the Six nations, and Henman bottles another major. Oh, and if there are any spurs fans with a sense of history, you can always pop across the road at half-time to purchase a tie from Dave Mackay's club tie shop. You never know, if you tell him you're related to Billy Bremner he might even pose for a photo with you (Ouch!).
